How does PhysioSKIN™ work?
We use a very thin needle, and administer the treatment using frequency in controlled short cycles, without piercing the area. The principle is based on the action Radio Frequency producing a thermal (heat) lesion. The wave penetrates the sub-epidermal layer of skin and is very superficial.
With small vessels the wave causes the vein to collapse, the body removes it as part of the healing process, so it disappears, and those results are permanent.
How many treatments are required?
Often 1 treatment is enough with no further follow up. In some cases, a treatment regime of 1-3 treatments is recommended spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
What is the difference between PhysioSKIN™ and Sclerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins?
The PhysioSKIN™ System allows treatment of larger veins and smaller veins that cannot be treated with sclerotherapy. You can also treat vessels on areas such as ankles and face where sclerotherapy cannot be done safely. There is often less pain, bruising and down time with PhysioSKIN™.
